This lighhouse setting has the added moon.  This was actually designed after a picture, a scene captured by Dan on camera, where the giant moon really shone orange light, which reflected beautifully off the water and clouds.

This particular piece uses weathered wood (taken from a barn that was being torn down) as the frame.  Most framed lath art benefits from such weathered frames.  But in certain situations (for example, when a piece is not necessarily supposed to have the 'rustic' look to it) a nice picture frame works better.  Such was the case when Dan created a Mickey Mouse replica for a customer (you can see the pictures of the piece in our section on custom made lath art.)
