Hot Air Balloons

This piece started out as a simple project, but grew more intricate as Dan (as he put it) realized the balloons needed more colors.  So the design of the balloons changed and grew and took on more colors.  Dan studied hundreds of pictures, trying to choose the right two baloons for the piece, but finally decided he'd model it after his own idea of what a hot air balloon 'ought' to look like.  The final lath art piece turned out pretty good.  Perhaps Dan should get into designing hot air balloons instead of lath art.
